We were delighted to host our second Grandparent's/Parent's Day today and we welcomed many fabulous grandparents, parents and family members who helped us celebrate this special day. Fr. McKenna kindly celebrated a prayer service in which we gave thanks for the wonderful gift that grandparents and parents are.
Our sincere thanks go to Maria Maguire who accompanied the pupils on the tin whistle and fiddle. A huge well done to Gareth Parker who played the guitar for the song 'Travellin' Solider', and we look forward to hearing more of his music in the future.
Grandparents and parents were then presented with beautiful pictures and thoughtful poems and lots of hugs were exchanged. Later the pupils were delighted to have time with their parents and grandparents playing games, making St. Brigid's crosses and enjoying a cup of tea and cake. The cake and buns were especially baked and decorated by the pupils for this wonderful celebration and tasted fabulous. Thank you to all parents and grandparents who took the time out to visit our school and celebrate with their children and grandchildren. See you all again next year!
